Little Moana Waialiki (Vaiana), daughter and heir of the chief of the small Polynesian island of Motunui, is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of the goddess Te Fiti, a small green stone that had the greatest magical power ever known: to create life. Suddenly a ruin hits his island and Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in the hope of returning the relic to Te Fiti and thus saving his people.
